Stuffed Tomatoes with Meat

  • Sauté the ground meat and onion in a large pan until browned, about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the rice.

  • Cut off the tops of the tomatoes, keeping them as lids, and carefully scoop out the insides with a spoon. Chop the larger pieces and set them aside along with the seeds and juice.

  • Add the tomato sauce, cooked rice, turmeric, granulated garlic, and all the chopped tomato insides to the pan with the cooked meat.

  • Stir until everything is well combined and the juices start to thicken, about 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Remove the pan from heat and let the filling cool slightly. Fill each tomato with the mixture using a spoon.

  • Serve topped with grated cheese and chives.
