Aleva – Winner of the “Best Spice” Award in Serbia
At the height of the pepper processing season, on September 30th, Aleva had the honor of hosting the jury of the prestigious Taste Awards by Metro Serbia at our factory in Novi Kneževac.
During the visit, jury members had the opportunity to learn about the entire production process – from receiving freshly harvested peppers, through drying and grinding, to the final packaging of finished products.
The visit concluded with a tasting of homemade goulash prepared with freshly ground Aleva paprika, symbolically completing the journey “from field to table.”
Winning the Best Spice in Serbia for 2024 carries special meaning for us – it is a confirmation that effort, tradition, and passion for what we do are recognized not only by our loyal consumers but also by professionals from the world of gastronomy.

The jury members also visited what we call the heart of our company – the pepper fields that come to life each autumn in vivid shades of red, as well as the factory section where mills from the first generation of production still operate.
Although more than seventy years old, these mills continue to function flawlessly, standing as proof of endurance and tradition that define us.
Every pepper that passes through our facilities carries the story of knowledge, dedication, and generations of expertise that built the Aleva brand – a true symbol of authentic home flavor.

Hristivoje Milošević – The Man Who Created a Tradition
A special part of Aleva’s story belongs to its founder, Mr. Hristivoje Milošević, who even at the age of 93 remains actively involved in the company’s work.
He is also the recipient of the Diplomacy & Commerce Award for Lifetime Achievement, recognizing his exceptional contribution to the development of Serbian industry and the food sector.
